Thank you for your message. The website De auto van m’n opa is all about inhabitants of the province of Noord-Brabant, who owned a car or motorcycle between 1906 and 1951. These were the years when provincial license plates were issued, which in Noord-Brabants consisted of the letter N and a number. This license stayed with the owner, so the vehicle got different plates if it was sold. From 1951 on, the system was changed to national licenses, which remain with the vehicle.
So what you see is that W.A. de Bont, Telefoonstraat 38 in Tilburg had a motorcycle or a car. Or both, or maybe several vehicles with this license, during the time he owned it. Unfortunately, we do not know from our source what vehicles were used on what license.
Your opa had even three licenses: N-8950 (issued 1922), N-28956 (issued 1931) and N-73070 (issued 1946). This may indicate, that he had some kind of trade or factory. All three licenses may have been in use until the emigration.
